An Opening to Closure

Have you ever tried to see the thunder?

Have you ever tried to hide the pain?

Can you peek inside with a sense of wonder?

Are you lost in yourself when there's so much to gain?

Can peace be found in the midst of confusion?

Is love within reach, but beyond your grip?

Are you fully aware of an intoxicating illusion?

Is what you believe just someone else's script?

Can you take hold of the moment as it passes by?

Was your future created from a previous time?

Is what you remember just an innocent lie?

Is your foundation solid beneath this fragile paradigm?

Is your hope buried beneath a mountain of fear?

Does your happiness rely on the absence of doubt?

"What do you want?" is the question I hear.

Revealing the answer is what it's all about.

When is Love?

Love is the pull that attraction only knows;

The invisible field that evades the eloquent prose.

Love is the gravity that draws us near;

Foretold by even the adolescent seer.

Love radiates from within never subject to arrest;

Even those without sight can see it manifest.

Love permeates the flesh and ripens the soul;

It binds the fragments and makes us whole.

Love is the force that nurtures life;

It knows no trouble, it knows no strife.

Love is a power that is continuously renewed;

It nourishes the mind and is intricately imbued.

Love is the beginning and love is the end;

Behold it in the moment and never ask "When?"

Shades of Loneliness

Hollow is the sound of the moment's contemplation

As I swallow the ache of my soul's isolation.

Where have I come from and where have I been?

Where is the warmth of a forgotten friend?

No way back and no compass to point the way;

A desolate beginning to another dreary day.

The morning shuns and relinquishes no hope,

As I trudge through the day and aimlessly grope,

For the touch of another or to capture a glance;

A glum reminder of my forsaken circumstance.

My heart bleeds of the pain enduring,

A permanent resolution is oddly alluring.

A forlorn backdrop as the dusk is crowning,

No one to save me from the inevitable drowning.

Caught in the storm, no sign of light;

Alone with the darkness as day turns to night.

Morning Gratitude

I am thankful in every possible way

for the wonderful things that are happening today.

As I think the thought of positive expectations,

I am sending out harmonious vibrations

that resonate with those of like kind

and attract into my life those of like mind.

They are drawn in with magnetic appeal

and mirror the essence of what I feel.

When opportunity knocks I will open the door

and for each new friend the gratitude will pour.

I know I will prosper in every possible way

for I receive what I have given every single day.
